This is the beginning of a New Year so I am determined to write more blog posts.
I have had wonderful encouragement from many different quarters, from farmers new to computers, other Zwartbles breeders, people living in cities as near by as Kilkenny city and as far a field as New York, Chicago, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
I have been very neglectful over the past few months being busy and getting a bad dose of illness for most of December and into this New Year, but still determinedly minding my small Zwartbles flock even when having fevers of 102.
I have many many photographs of things that NEED posting like the ZSA AGM which was fantastically hosted in Northern Ireland and organized by Judy Maxwell of the Northern Ireland branch of the ZSA.
I have posts that I have to write about husbandry, to do with scald, sending the rams to the ewes, lambing and more. I have farm Diaries about new members of the menagerie, new sheep, Christmas lambing of new ewe, and my wonderful new round bale trailer which has made move hay a dream it’s so easy.
I have taken many more photographs and filmed video of the blanket making process which I hope to edit into short films and write blog posts about.
I hope you will enjoy what I write and share about my Zwartbles sheep flock, farm life, the odd adventure off the farm, and the wonderful traditional weight 100% Irish Zwartbles blankets and throws how they are made and where they go. Please send us photos of the Zwartbles Blankets in your homes or on chairs, or even a picnic. If you buy our Zwartbles yarn do please show us what you make with it.
Here is wishing all of you a wonderful New Year in 2014 of Health and some Diamond Moments of Memorable Happiness.
