Today started as all farming Sundays do, with escaped livestock. So I was helping a neighbor sort invading Friesian bulls from his Limousine heifers. I was too busy zipping around on the quad to take any photos and for this I am sorry, but all ended well and we got the bulls out and trotting down the road to their owners field without too much bother.

When I came in for coffee later in the morning my wet gear was taken over by Oscar as a nice bed.

The wet humid weather can not decide what to do, sunny one moment pouring rain the next.

The three visiting ladies who have been keeping The Welchman company are due to leave tomorrow so this evening was my last viewing of them.

I noticed while up there that the apples were beginning to really look well and leaning towards their autumn harvest.

There is one very friendly ewe amongst the three who enjoys coming over for a chat.

After walking through the fields I finally go down to the boys who are waiting for their evening meal.

The boys are just getting a mouth full each so query as to why they get no more than that. As the drought is over and the grass is growing they can feed and grow well on the natural green fodder.

As I do my Sunday evening rounds I have a canine shadow who follows me, always ahead of me anticipating the next move and where I will go next.

Heading back to the house and a wonderful family meal that awaits me I pause for a moment taking in the view across the Nore River valley.

When going in the kitchen door I pass this Hydrangea which is coming into a flowery pink flush which brightens the dullness of the grey evening light.
